About demli

Demli – well brewed, like a proper çay.

In Turkish, “demli” describes a tea that has steeped long enough: strong, warm, just right. That’s exactly how our shirts should feel.

demli stands for all the little moments everyone knows who grew up between two cultures: the slipper that just misses you. The “Geliyorum!” while you’re still in bed. The one glass of çay that turns into seven. We tell these stories with a wink – in hand-painted watercolor designs from Turkish villages.

Series 01 · Köy

Our first series takes you through seven villages: from Şirince on the Aegean to Cappadocia, Mardin and Safranbolu, the tea plantations of the Black Sea, Central Anatolia and Thrace. Every shirt a place, every place a saying.

Printed when you order

Every shirt is printed for you only after you order – in Europe. That way we avoid overproduction and unnecessary stock.
